Jrisi has been invited to take part in the selective line up of teachers in the

2008 Western Australian Middle

Eastern Dance Festival as a guest teacher, alongside some of Australia's

best instructors and international guests.

Jrisi has been invited to teach Drum solo techniques with Live Egyptian drummer.

Held in Parramatta. A huge line up of artists including the fabulous

Randa Kamel, not to be missed.

Belly Dance Awards

On October 5th, 2007 Jrisi and the Hathor Dance Theatre were awarded the

"Best Troupe Award" and Jrisi won the "Cultural Acknowledgement Award". This

is the 2nd year running Hathor Dance Theatre have won this catergory

Just wanted to say how much I loved your performance last night at the Raks Festival. I know everyone says it to you, but I thought I would say it too. You are different from other professionals in the way that your dancing keeps on getting more and more amazing (even when I thought this was impossible as you are already brilliant), to the point of it looking totally effortless when you are dancing. Jrisi also made her first visit to Perth in December - why had she taken so long? Those of you in the Eastern States are more familiar with Jrisi's energetic style of teaching and it was like a breath of fresh air and a bit of a shock to the system for us in the west.

Her teaching style is consice, structured and easy to follow and the choreographies were kept simple enough to follow yet challenging enough to keep us on our toes. Jrisi has a wonderful personality and teaching style and manages to maintain a high level of energy with her students. This is a sign of an experienced and committed teacher. Hopefully this will not be her last visit as we want more, more!
